aku tak jadi buat bodoh...

sebab.....cik abang aku dah menunaikan janji nye...tq..tq...

suka sgt aku..almaklumlah...dah 2 tahun aku masuk umah ni..

ni lah baru master bedroom aku nak ada almari baju....

suka sgt....dah lah aku dpt kos buat ye adalah separuh dari anggaran mula-mula...

orang nak ada walk-in-wardrobe...aku pun nak walk-in jugak (suami aku kata, baik aku buat jogging-in..boleh jugak aku kuruskan badan kan...)

orang lain ada bajet sampai 8-10k...aku ni bajet amatlah ciput..

so modifiedlah sana sini..orang pakai sliding door...

aku tak pakai door langsung...sliding tu mahal kau...

orang pakai tempah kat kedai kabinet...

aku pakai buat sendiri gunakan kederat suami aku and Nadia and Jaja (tq ye korang...)

kabinet tu aku beli kat IKEA je...quality ok-ok ajelah...

tapi dapatlah kaler putih, sama dgn kaler perabut dlm bilik...

dan yg paling aku suka...kosnye betul-betul murahlah dari yg tempah tu..

masa aku tanya-tanya kat kedai kabinet..rata-rata quote dlm RM4.5k...sakit dada aku..

last-last yg ni..total kos aku adalah RM1800..tapi ada lagi aksessori yg tak masuk (shelf utk yg besar tu sebab kaler putih dah habis stok..bulan 4 nanti baru ada stok balik..)

dan inilah....

kerja-kerja pemasangan bermula jam 2 ptg Sabtu (setelah melantak nasi beriani arab...sebab dia nak buat kan, so aku pun kenalah tunaikan janji aku...)

ni setakat jam 6 ptg..siap 2 lemari kecil...


lemari tengah yg besar dah siap..ni nak masuk maghrib dah..

ni dah hampir kul 8 malam dah...



siap dah yg kat dinding...cuma takde shelf utk yg besar tu aje...and 1 lagi bakul utk drawer...aku pakai bakul aje sebab murah..kalau ada bajet nanti, aku tambahlah drawer kayu tu..

yg sebelah nye pulak..sambung malam ahad pulak...hari ahad siang tu, tukang pasang dah demam dan sakit urat..tapi dia tak larat nak tengok kain baju berlonggok atas katil..so dia siapkan jugak..

aku beli 3 unit yg besar ni utk letak belah kanan tapi bila pasang, aku tengok 2 unit pun dah cukup..kalau letak unit ke-3 tu, nanti dia panjang sampai ke depan bilik air dan akan menutup aircond pulak..so letak 2 unit ajelah belah kanan...yg 1 unit tu, aku letak kat bilik bebudak tu...

ni aku semangat tu...tak menyempat-nyempat nak sangkut baju aju...cantik tak bakul sampah aku baru beli tu..polka dot hitam putih u...


semalam siap pasang semua jam 10 malam....aku tak larat nak angkut semua baju masuk lemari ni..so ada sikit lagi nak settle malam ni..

bunga di semak saya

mmg haruslah aku letak tajuk 'semak' sbb kebun ku dah mmg wajar dipanggil semak pun..

lama dah aku tak membajak di kebun itu..

tapi nasib baik bunga2 ku masih berkembangan..nasib baik depa tak merajuk...

setelah hampir 2 tahun aku tanam, ni barulah berbunga kembali hydragea ku...

teh misai kucing utk org ada darah tinggi...subur betul dia kat semak samun tu...

Kabinet itu....

Hari Ahad semalam, pi open house kat umah auntie aku..dekat aje kat Nilai ni..

balik dari sana, aku ajak cik abang singgah kedai perabut terpakai kat Nilai 7..(dekat dgn Nilai 3, kalau korang dtg dari arah Bandar Baru Nilai, korang akan perasan kedai ni kat sebelah kanan korang, ada deretan kedai kat situ and signboard dia besar tulis Perabot Terpakai)

Ada sesetengah orang tak suka perabot terpakai ni tapi aku suka..sebab selain harga murah, yg lebih penting adalah kualiti kayu yg digunakan..selalunye perabut2 ni guna solid wood, memang berat..and kalau korang bernasib baik, korang akan jumpa perabut2 yg antik jugak tau..cuma kena rajin pi survey lah...

ada sekali tu..masa tu aku baru pindah lah...duit banyak dah habis utk umah..sekali aku pi kedai ni, ada satu display kabinet yg besar punya dgn ukiran yg simple sgt (takde banyak2 kerawang ni..) dia display kat depan kedai dia..mmg berat giles tau..harga dia letak RM1000 which is murah compare dgn harga korang nak dpt kat kedai dgn same quality (confirm more than RM4k)....aku memang teringin and cik abang pun mmg suka..tapi takde rezeki kami..sebab masa tu banyak benda lain nak pakai duit..tapi takpe, aku dah cakap dgn tokey dia, kalau ada lagi kabinet cam tu..sila telefon saya segera ye...

semalam, niat sebenarnye nak cari meja study utk anak2 aku...aku dah tengok yg kat kedai perabut tapi selalunye dia guna yg compressed wood tu..confirm pakai 2-3 tahun je lah..nak beli yg solod wood brand new, lebig dari RM500 pulak..kalau aku, kena beli dua...so dah jadi seribu kan..

and kat kedai tu semalam, aku dpt meja ni..bukan study meja sebenarnya tapi boleh digunakan as one lah...solid wood..harga dia letak RM120..bila aku kata aku nak beli 2, berapa dia boleh bagi..dia kasi RM80 satu...aku sukalah..so ambik 2 meja tu..

pastu cam biasa kalau aku pi kedai ni, mesti aku meround segenap pelusuk ye...sekali aku terjumpa kabinet kayu ni...sekali pandang aku dah jatuh cinta (tak kisahlah kalau korang rasa tak cantik, tapi mmg aku dah fall in love)..lagi2 bila aku bukak one of the drawer tu, ada letak partition..sesuai utk aku buat letak surat and bil utilities..

aku dah sound kat cik abang..aku nak jugak...korang tau harga dia letak berapa..RM90..tawar2 dptlah RM60...aku tersenyum panjang dah...lepas ni aku nak suruh cik abang letak handle kat drawer tu...


ni lepas aku letak kat sudut ruang tamu...

sebab excited sangat..terus aku bukak pasu sarawak yg aku baru beli tu...letak teruslah..cantik tak...

and ni lagi satu yg aku berkenan..sebabkan aku still takde dry kitchen maka storage place aku agak limited...semalam bila aku nampak lemari ni...juga dr solid wood...keras dan gagah gitu.

aku knew it that it needs to be in my kitchen...

cik abang kata "mana nak letak ni..dapur dah sempit dah tu.."...."takpe, takpe, abang alihkan dryer baju tu masuk bilik bawah tu..bukan kita pakai sangat dah pun dryer tu..so kabinet ni boleh letak kat situ.." ..

kata orang...di mana ada kemahuan, di situ ada jalan..betul tak...harga dia RM150 (dia letak RM230)..kalau aku buat built in cabinet ni, mau RM800 jugak kan...jimat kan..

pagi tadi...dah lah kul 6.30 baru terjaga...

dah tu baju sekolah anak2 tak gosok lagi...terkocoh2 lah aku ni turun ke tingkat bawah, bilik gosok baju tu...

sekali...gedebuk...terjatuhlah pulak kat depan tangga bawah tu..

ni apasal berair ni..tengok ke siling..tu dia..rupanye ada water dripping dari syiling tu..confirm tiris dari bilik air master bedroom ni...

adus...siling kapur tu dah lembab tu...

pagi tadi jugak hubby pi report kat management opis..tapi depa dtg hari jumaat utk betul kan..

dah tu jumaat kan aku kerja...sapa yg nak kena balik awal ni...

confirm bukan akulah kan...

tapi memang aku tak sukalah defect2 rumah ni..baru duk 9 bulan ni..hanginlah aku pagi2 tadi..

My New KC

Yesterday, they came and fixed the kc for my wet kitchen, my hubby was there from 11 am until they finished work at about 7.30 pm...and me, dengan rasa tak sabarnye, drove there after office hour just to fulfill the needs to see it with my own eyes (mcm tak boleh tunggu weekend...memang tak boleh pun)...

Overall, I am very satisfied with their work. The air pipe from the hood was fixed into the plaster ceiling (I don't know that the developer put plaster ceiling for the whole house except the dining hall..I thought just at the living room) so I have extra place at the wall cabinet for my gadget...

And The Answers Are....

People keeps on asking us why do we choose to buy the house in Pajam, Nilai which is about 30 minutes drive from Putrajaya while all this time, we are living very close to it (about 7 km)..what's more the new primary and secondary school is being built right in front of our apartment complex (which is less than 5 minutes walk and my twin can still have breakfast in the house before they are off to school) and will be ready for 2010 intake (just the right time my twin to enter primary school)..and here in Seri Kembangan, the Jaya Jusco is less than 2 km away and a new Tesco will be build next year at the junction from LDP (which also less than 2 km from the apartment)..so every single important things for urban people is very close in proximity here..so why do we choose Pajam, Nilai..

This is our personal answer, other people have different view of the type of living environment that they want to live in, but this is the living environment that we want..so no offend to others, purely our personal preferences..

• I want a cheap and large house since our budget is less than RM200k since we still have the apartment to pay in case the tenant is not a good paymaster (still have to consider the emergency case when we have to make that payment to the bank right)..
• I want a freehold property since the apartment is leasehold, so for the landed property I am very particular about it land title..as most of the house within our budget in Bandar Baru Bangi and Seri Kembangan are leasehold make us go further up to NilaiI
  
• We love the interior design of the house esp. the step up level for the dining hall and also the big wet kitchen separated from the dry kitchen which prompt me to pay the deposit on the spot when we went to the show house..
• We have a choice between Nilai or Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi which offer double storey house below RM200k (at that time, October 2007- now the third phase of my unit launched on Jan 2008 started at RM213k and the latest development at Pajam with smaller land size, 20x60 is starting at RM218k) but the built up area for the house in BB Salak Tinggi is smaller, about 1800 square feet..mine is 2278 square feet, so I don't mind the distance..
• Pajam is about 5 km from Bandar Baru Nilai (a blooming city, ada Giant di sana), about 7 km to Bukit Mahkota and Seri Putra and not so far away from putrajaya..beside the Pajam interchange for LEKAS highway is just 200 meter from our house and I can go to Tesco Semenyih easily with that highway...
• my uncle and my sister live in Nilai and Bukit Mahkota respectively, so senang utk ke rumah mereka..my SIS bought a new house at Sg. Merab, Bangi..juga tidak begitu jauh..
• The school for my twin will be at Nilai Impian (3 km away) or at Taman Semarak (also about 3-5 km) but most probably I put them at Putrajaya..
• that is all the reason why...so that is the answers..

But a thing or two about the house that I have to compromise is the exterior design which in not up to date (memang I tak berkenan, kalau ada duit in the future, akan buat renovation di depan rumah) and the colour which is also not really trendy sebab mana ada rumah pakai kaler peach dah sekarang ni..and also, if I have extra money, I change the colour to a more natural tone like grey..

And jodoh I dengan rumah mesti dekat dgn dumpsite punya, as the apartment but the dumpsite is already closed after 1 year we move in, same goes with this taman, very near the dumpsite (I tak tau masa beli ye!!) but I was told the closure notice have been issued by PBT, I guess taklama lagi will close shop too..

The Schedule

For the next 2 weeks, our normal life will be upside down with the moving out and moving in...we needs to repaint the apartment for the new tenant before new year (menghilangkan hasil seni anak-anak I di dinding umah) and all the renovation works in the new house needs to be done before 23 December...which is less than 1 week...hughhhh!!!!

Currently the schedule plans are like this..I pray very hard that everything goes as plan..

• 17 December - installation of new kitchen cabinet for wet kitchen

• 18-20 December - wiring work for the whole house + fitting of fan, lamps and other electrical items

• 20 December - new pipe works & installation of sink for wet kitchen + my twin birthday

• 21 December - installation of gril

• 22 December - moving out from the apartment + birthday party for my twin at the nursery

• 23 December - cleaning works at the apartment

Though the moving will be on 22 December (my sis birthday) but we will officially stay in the new house from 1 January 2009..new year, new house, new start for us..actually it is because I started my twin at the new kindergarten on that day, before that, I still don't have a place to put them in Nilai, so I still have to send them to current nursery in Seri Kembangan.

Talking about new kindergarten, I just bought new school bags for my twin last nite from JJ..get a good price for KIKO knacksack at RM25 each (50% off the original price, kalau tak memang beli kat Nilai 3 aje)..but it is not Ben 10 as planned before..what else do I needs for them...a Ben 10 birthday cake rasanye..

New Nest - $$$

Let's me share my current expenditure for the new nest. I hope this can be used as guidelines for those who are planning to move to new house. I do read a lot about other's comment and recommendation in the internet as I do not have the time to go around searching for the best price.. So this is the breakdown so far..

• Gril with Bengkel Waizuri, Sungai Merab, Bangi - RM3,200 (deposit - RM1200)
• Kitchen Cabinet with Welco Kitchen, Nilai - RM5,000 (deposit -RM200)
• glass tinted for whole house - RM1,000 (paid)
• 4 Fans, 1 chandelier & 2 gate lamp (Top Ten, Puchong) - RM1,290 (paid)
• Additional wiring for the whole house - RM2,000 (deposit - RM1,000)

And our pocket really hurt a lot since we are not rich ok...this budget is not for anything luxury, just for the basic items..and I guess when we move in, we will have to start our saving from scratch back...waaa!!! pening nye kepala...

p/s: how I wish I can just photostate the amount of money I needs.. :(

Wash! Wash!Clean

Last weekend, we did the first round of cleaning for the new nest...I just cannot bare to breath in the house as the dirt, dust and the smell of cement are too strong..yeah! I know that I still have to clean it again after the grill and kc installation..but who cares right, it's my house, it's my sweats and it's my body that doing the works (actually more to my hubby's body n sweat)..at least whenever I go there, I don't have to cover my mouth and nose. So after the cleaning, it do ease the breathing a lot and I don't have to worry about my twin running around the nest anymore..they won't get dirty though they still sweat a lot (yelah, org baru dpt ruang nak berlari dlm rumah)...

Living Room Area From Outside

Before the cleaning started after Isyak, we celebrated my cousin birthday..just a small birthday celebration but the cake is soo delicious...my uncle bought it from this bakery at Taman Semarak and the price is sooooo cheap, compared to Seri Kembangan..last time, my uncle bought an ice-cream cake for just RM26 ok...in Seri Kembangan, don't dream to get, even the plain icing cake at a price lesser than RM30..I plan to get my twin birthday's cake for their birthday this year from that bakery.

That evening, we also finalised the design of the kc for the wet kitchen...I still cannot determined where am I going to place the dryer. I plan to put it beside the fridge, at the base cabinet but that means I will have less base cabinet to put my ktichen gadget.. my hubby said, just leave it to him to find the solution and I have this strong feeling that the dryer might end up in one of the bedroom..silap-silap master bedroom..

The KEY

I finally have the key of our new nest in my hand...the feeling of sad, happy and relief filled my heart today...I am sad because it's meant I will leave this home that hold many memories, I am happy to continue my life journey in the new nest and I am relief, because the waiting finally came to an end..I was a little worried though, afraid that the house will be one of the abandoned project..

After doing a thorough inspection (ye ke?) for more than 2 hours, we headed to register our twin at Tadika Desaria, Nilai 3 since that is the nearest to our house and also my uncle house..I am planning to put them into SmartReader's (since the parents testimonial are so good) but thinking that I just want them to explore the basic writing and reading for next year, so I think a more personal preschool will do and the SmartReader's will be for next-next year (harap2 kewangan pun memberangsangkan sikit)..anyway, the moment they enter the preschool, they are just 4 years, 10 days old and I don't want to force them in their formal early education..let's it be fun n play for them..when they are a little bit older ( I wonder when, as a children will always be small in their mother's eyes) then only I would be more firm on their formal education..

Then we have our lunch at Bandar Baru Nilai and managed to get another quotation from the nearby KC showroom, but looking at the price quoted, I will definately do it with Welco (Nilai)..the price different for the same design is more than 1k..save that for the tinted glass ..yeah, my hubby promptly agreed to have windows of the whole house tinted when he saw the effect it have on our neighbour-to-be house..(where the contractor is doing their work and pass the pamphlet to my hubby)...so that's mean I have to cut my budget on other things like new curtain..

Our next destination is Bengkel Waizuri, Sg. Merab, Bangi for the gril..actually, we have been to the workshop about 3 months before to have rough quotation and I already decided to make a deal with them as their price is the most reasonable ... after a short negotiation, we agreed to the new price, pay a small deposit and finalised the pattern we want..

So the next things that I need to do is plumbing and wiring...I need atleast 3 new electric points in the wet kitchen, atleast 2 new points for the dry kitchen which I planned to convert to family hall, 4 new point for syilling fan and 1 new point for water heater...banyaknye pakai duit...for the wiring, we still searching for the best price but for the plumbing, luckily my uncle knows how to so small plumbing work...so bolehlah since I just need a new pipe at the porch..senang nak basuh keta seperti yg dijanjikan oleh Mr. Man of the House itu...

Finally, IT's here

There is something that really cheer me up today...after the office-life-headache since this Monday..

I think you can guess...

heh! the letter from the developer is actually here already..not coming through my post box..but faxed to my office...tak kisahlah janji dah dpt...

so...next Friday (hopefully dapatlah cuti) is the official date for me to get the key...

and after this...maybe more new house-expenses-headache lah pulak...

Those people around me know how excited I am about the new house and I have been checking the post box since BPP released the last payment to the developer..even when I was in Sabah, I keep on reminding my hubby to check the post box for the much-waited-letter..but until today, it never arrived in my post box yet...

And today, I received a letter from BPP regarding the payment schedule for the house (yelah, the gov. had released all the total payment kan, so this is the payback time lah)...and for the next 300 months, my total gross salary will be deducted by RM1104.23 (waaa!!!! baru nak rasa gaji baru ni...).. the deduction supposed to start from October 2008 but they will only start it on January 2009 (adalah 3 months grace period tu)....berhutang sampai pencenlah ni...

And I just called the developer, asking when are we going to get the key..janganlah jadi terbengkalai pulak kan..luckly Wati (the staff with the developer who have been handling my file so far) said that they have already posted the letter..must be on the way...so Mr. Postman, cepat2lah hantarkan surat saya ye...thank you Mr. Postman, sayang awak..

Macy Warehouse Sale

I love shopping....generally, all women that I know love shopping, be it clothes, shoes, hand bag, parfumes, home decorations etc. etc..the list of our want will never end right..so for this weekend, I forced my hubby to bring me to Macy Warehouse Sales (alah dekat aje pun dgn rumah kan)..that was the first time I went to Macy warehouse sale..and having gone there, I will make that as my annual must-go warehouse sale..I love it..really, really love it...the price of the furnitures were really cheap, u can get 1-seater sofa for RM199 (normal price is RM800+)..boleh gitu, mau tak rambang mata den...I thought of buying a pair of the 1-seater sofa but where am I going to put it..anyway, knowing that this is an annual event, so I pun memujuk diri to be patient..kot ye pun, tunggulah masuk umah baru dulu kan..
